Second Edition of the Professional Conduct Case Book

On 3 June 2010 the 2nd Edition of the 'Professional Conduct - A Case Book of Disciplinary Decisions Relating to Professional Conduct Matters' was launched by Her Excellency, the Governor of New South Wales, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO. 

The book explained the protective jurisdiction of the Nurses and Midwives Act 1991 (NSW) as it was prior to National Registration on July 1 and how a complaint was dealt with from its inception to completion, to assist the reader to understand the way in which the disciplinary processes are carried out.

It incorporated matters dealt with by the then Nurses and Midwives Tribunals, Professional Standards Committees and Supreme Court from 1999 to 2006. The book will be a valuable resource for nurses, midwives, educators, the legal profession and the public.
